'Aura.exe' in Vista 32bit (English) has always crashed immediately:

BEX, mscorwks.dll, v2.0.50727.4216

So Aura.exe (http://aura.codeplex.com/) is killed by DEP, but it can't be added to DEP exceptions.

Any ideas what to try next? Thanks, dalchina

I've got the same problem and I'd love a solution. It comes with Windows 8 Transformation Pack 2.0, and the only way to disable this error is by disabling W8TP2 to automatically start. But this way, the auto-patch feature is also not started automatically (and thus disabled). Meaning that after an sfc /scannow many features will be gone :/

Please solve ;p

Peace!

For users of http://www.windowsxlive.net/windows-8-transformation-pack, I found a dirty work-around...

Inspired by "nothing I can do" I came up with the following solution...

(For best practice: first remove W8TP2, reboot computer, then install again WITHOUT reboot.)
Replace Aura.exe (C:\Program Files\UX Pack\Aura\Aura.exe) with the following executable: donothing.exe (renamed too Aura.exe).

You can get DoNothing here: http://www.stephan-brenner.com/?p=190

It's virus free, although - doing nothing is sooo suspicious, that for over a year more than 10 antivirus programs (total 43) consider it to be a dangerous virus ;p

For Avira antivirus users, some extra info here: http://www.alvinpoh.com/how-to-fix-the-problem-of-avira-antivir-always-ignore-option-not-working/

Aura.exe always crashes. A Possible memory leak somewhere.
